Submission Process for Modifications

We encourage all homeowners to dream up big ideas to make improvements to their property, and desire to make this submission process as easy as possible. Understanding and following this process can save time, inconvenience and money. Please refer to the Lindenwood Homeowners Association Design Guidelines for rules and regulations regarding modifications, and keep in mind the guidelines were adopted to protect all homeowners from any potential problems. It also helps to talk to surrounding neighbors about your plans. Complete the Request for Modification Approval Form and submit as indicated on the form, for review. The approval process can take up to 3-4 weeks, so please plan accordingly. (Also note, some building modifications and projects require prior approval from Federal/State/Local Government, so research and obtain all necessary permits to remain in compliance with the law.) The Modification Committee will make every attempt to respond to your request as quickly as possible. Additions and changes requiring prior approval from the Lindenwood ARC Committee, include but are not limited to the following:

• Fences
• Decks, sunrooms, and additions
• Outbuildings (sheds)
• Play sets
• Satellite dishes (all)
• Major landscaping projects
• Permanent basketball goals (moveable basketball goals are allowed, but please refer to the Lindenwood Architectural Guidelines for requirements on placement and storage.)
• Retaining walls, fire pits, permanent grilling areas, or patios
• Pools, hot tubs, fountains, or water features

Lindenwood Modification Submission Form

Please submit your completed form to the Lindenwood ARC Committee, prior to beginning your project. Final approval must be received back before you begin, to avoid penalty of required changes after completion, or fines enforced by our management company. An email response, confirming receipt of your submission, will be sent to you within 5 days. If an email address is not provided, you will receive a letter or phonecall from the ARC Committee within one week, giving information on the estimated time of response to your submission. Again, please note this process can take up to 30 days. Expedited requests will be reviewed if possible, considered and processed sooner if determined necessary under the individual circumstances.
